The third installment in the Swedish photog's impressive collection.
Lina Scheynius is a Swedish?born, (mostly) London?based photographer, whose images combine brazen sexuality with fragile intimacy. There is a definite innocence lurking behind Lina's lens, which shines through in the purity of her shots. Charming and personal, her photographs have already been compiled into two books (both sold out), with her much?anticipated third released just this month.
Noting painters like Egon Schiele as hugely inspirational for her, Lina is inspired by work that leaves her feeling slightly uncomfortable. This is certainly a sentiment one could use to describe Lina's own work. The raw intimacy that her photos exude leaves you feeling like you've stumbled upon a very private moment. This is perhaps why bathroom scenes feature so heavily in her body of work ? after all, nothing is more intimate than bathroom antics.

At only thirty years of age, Lina's work has already been showcased at Picture Gallery in Lund and Saatchi and Saatchi in London. She has also directed two music videos for London?based band Lecain and has shot for the likes of AnOther magazine, Exit, Dazed and Confused and British Vogue (to name just a few). Known for her intimate 'personal calendars', which comprise one photo per day over a period of time, Lina's editorial photographs are just as intimate and personal, exposing a true connection between photographer and subject.

Lina's new book, titled 03, is a covetable feast for the eyes, filled with tender images as impressive as ever. In keeping with tradition, Lina lets us flick through 03 the same way we flicked through 01 and 02, via our very own e?reader (aka YouTube). 1000 numbered and signed copies of the aptly?titled 03 are available now via linascheynius.com and in true Lina style, this newest collection of images is sure to provoke a whole host of emotions from deep within so prepare to be dazed.
