Gucci’s AW17 Is Legitimately Out Of This World

After teasing lil alien mates on Instagram a few months ago, and consequently getting accused of plagiarism by a CSM student, Gucci and creative director Alessandro Michele have cleared things up by finally releasing the full AW17 campaign. And jfc it is out of this world.

Shot by Glen Luchford, the images take direct inspiration from the theatrical 1950s sci-fi films that Alessandro watched as a child. Think Creature from the Black Lagoon and Forbidden Planet, with a dream wardrobe department. The effort behind this thing is incredible, the sets/locations alone are outstanding.
As well as the campaign images, comes a campaign film. Also shot by Glen Luchford, it sees the cosmic cast beaming into spaceships and cruising around rare planets.
