Margiela’s SS18 show went down just how you’d expect: weird but not without huge skill in tailoring, palette, accessories and theme. There was the glamour of a flapper era, with minimal ostrich feathers and skull caps, but also a tidy airport theme — usually a place of abandonment when it comes to style.
John Galliano did not waste the idea of neck pillows given the theme, thankfully…
But the nicest surprise was in the details. In the beauty, more precisely. Pat McGrath, because who else, managed to create a lip look that we are obsesso over — by leaving a bare strip through the centre of the lips, bright love hearts burst from the corners. So good.
