Kim Jones Is Taking Dior to Tokyo For Its First Pre-Fall Mens Show
Sayonara Paris.
After presenting his debut collection for Dior Homme earlier this summer, Kim Jones has decided he’s taking the brand to Tokyo. On November 30, the designer will show the brand’s first ever Pre-Fall menswear line in the Japanese metropolis.
“A fashion show in Tokyo is the best way to present and celebrate my first Dior Pre-Fall men’s show,” he told Dazed. “Japan is a magical country that I know quite well and that I love particularly for its incredible and unique culture, history, and nature, which have always been very fascinating and a great source of inspiration to me.”
Along with the presentation, the brand is set to launch a pop-up shop in the city’s neighborhood of Shinjuku. Open from November 28 until Dec 12, the pop-up will be the first location to sell the SS19 collection, Jones’ first for the label.
Of course, we don’t live in Tokyo right now, but I guess, Dior Homme is as good a reason as any to move there.
