Saint Laurent SS19 Makes A Very Good Case For Never Buying Pants Again
Say no more.
Anthony Vaccarello’s SS19 collection for Saint Laurent was a lot of things: tough, sexy, a lil bit vintage but a lot iconic, and staunchly feminine in the kind of way that says “I came here to crush you and I didn’t even bother putting pants on.” And now we are convinced that we, too, never need to buy pants again. Seriously, Anthony, say no more.
Officially, the show was about dynamic individuality which was a narrative told by mixing stylish elements from different decades. Saint Laurent note Paloma Picasso’s vintage re-styling as a big inspo to the house in the 70s, and bring that vibe back in a big way for SS19.
“Boyish silhouettes hold a feminine confidence while walking the Trocadero and its water path of white palms,” the press release reads. “Saint Laurent audacious elegance is subtlety evoked to close the show.” Feminine confidence! Audacious elegance! Sign me up.
