Here’s How To Score A Spot At Tkay’s Force Is Female Songwriting Workshop
Major inspo.
Tkay, who we love for her beats and personal flow, and who we admire for her absolute make-no-excuses passion and hard work, is holding a songwriting workshop in Melbourne on 22 November as part of Nike’s Force Is Female initiative, celebrating the work of powerful and inspiring women. She’ll be serving major inspo and helping future female artists access the skills and tools to be the best they can be.
Giving up-and-coming female MCs the opportunity to learn from Tkay’s amazing ability to constantly deliver new and creative material, there will be a Q+A, an open forum where you’ll get to ask Tkay anything you want to know about the industry / the art and a verse writing session. All with close mentoring from Tkay, who debuted her first album just aged 16.
The catch is: there’s only ten spots at her workshop. But, the incentive is: of those ten, Tkay’s two faves will get the opportunity to perform at Nike Battle Force in Melbourne on 25 November.
To be one of the ten lucky workshop participants / to be Australia’s future in female-led hip hop, you’ve just got to follow this link and fill out your business asap. Entries are open right now, and will close when they’re filled.
No sweat if you miss out on this ~once in a lifetime~ op with Tkay, though, because you can still head here to reserve a spot at the Battle Force event — where you’ll be able to lap up Tkay’s positive vibes and passionate nrg at a pretty intimate performance. Plus see choreography queen Parris Goebel perform, get deep in AF1 installations (maybe even pick up the AF1 Sage Low for yourself, the latest Nike sneaker designed for women, by women). Registration for Battle Force is open now.
