Alexander McQueen Flagship Opens Archive And Design Exhibition To Public
Marvellous.
Having recently upgraded digs to a bigger space across the street, the Alexander McQueen flagship on Old Bond Street in London has now opened to the public an entire upper floor dedicated to exhibitions, presentations and talks.
Fabric samples, photographs, sketches, and patterns are collected around finished looks, aiming to inspire fashion students and inform them of the work and materials that go into the production of each season. Archive looks from incredible past collections are also on show, providing a cool IRL look at the history of such a dedicated house.
For design students in the city, creative director Sarah Burton is hosting talks in the space. This educational push will continue throughout the year, keeping up the McQueen tradition of nurturing new talent.
