Get Ready For Sleater-Kinney’s New Album
#1 Must Have.
Carrie Brownstein has been busy. Aside from interviewing Natasha Lyonne for the latest issue of Oyster, the ’90s punk icon and Hollywood goddess has been back in the studio with Sleater-Kinney. Earlier this year, the band announced that they were hard at work on a new album produced by St. Vincent. Since then, they’ve dropped a few hints in the form of cryptic lyric on Instagram. But now we’ve got some real news to share:
Earlier this week, the band revealed that the record is called The Center Won’t Hold, and we’ll be able to cop it on August 16.
Aside from a Miranda July-directed music video last month, this will be Sleater-Kinney’s first release since 2015. Needless to say, we’re excited. And luckily, to tide us over, we’ve got their new single and lyric video, “The Future Is Here.”
Peep for yourself, below.
