So… Lil Nas X Is Writing A Children’s Book
Old Town Library.
We all know Lil Nas X ruled last year. His track “Old Town Road” went Diamond (which we didn’t even know was possible), basically everyone (except Rico Nasty), including Dolly Parton and Blondie, covered the track, and it started such a craze, that people started stealing IRL “Old Town Road” signs all over the world. It was magic. Then things got even better, when he made history after being named the first gay Black man on Forbes’ country top earners list, and he starred in a Calvin Klein campaign.
Now, yer guy is trying to make 2021 even better, with the release of his very first book, C is for Country. “I’m dropping the best kids book of all time soon!” he wrote. And we believe it.
Published by Penguin Random House, the book is made for ages 3-7, and follows the rapper (on horseback, natch) “on a joyous journey through the alphabet from sunup to sundown.” Illustrated by Theodore Taylor III, the book is out January 15, and is basically “Old Town Road” for toddlers. Don’t believe us? Read the synopsis: “A is for adventure, B is for boots, C is for country.”
Bet I know what O will be for.
