Alexa Chung Wins British Style Award (Again)
Dedicates her win to "girls who dress like awkward boys."
Alexa Chung is always well coiffed, well clothed and well spoken. Actually, that last part might be a misnomer and might just be attributed to her British accent, because after all it's proven that speaking in a British accent makes you sound well proper, innit? The point is that now Chung's gone and made it official, again, and won the British Style Award at the 2011 British Fashion Awards for the second time running. Not too shabby considering the award is voted for by the public, and she outdid Kate Middleton of all people. The official memo from the British Fashion Council asserts that the winner is "an individual who embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for London as a leading creative fashion capital." Perhaps that part about being creative is where the masses deemed the Duchess of Cambridge unfit for the honour:

The Duchess should not be too put out though, as the Designer of the Year award went to Sarah Burton, Creative Director at Alexander McQueen, who designed her wedding dress, which Kate was said to have had a lot of input in creating.
Chung collected her trophy (isn't it just the dream to have a trophy saying how innately stylish you are?) with some choice words: "This is for girls who dress like awkward boys". With that in mind, we take a look at some of Oyster's favourite 'Alexa Chung awkward boy' outfits:

If you're now feeling like your own sartorial choices don't quite come up to scratch, just remind yourself that she gets most of her designer clothes for free. Oh wait, that doesn't help does it? Besides Chung and Burton, the other winners are as follows:
