Angry Birds Downloaded One Billion Times
And counting.
Angry Birds developer Rovio announced today that the game has touched / ruined the lives of over one billion people. As someone who has had to delete Angry Birds from her phone on more than one occasion because it was affecting her ability to function like a normal person, the news comes as no surprise.
The franchise, which includes Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio and most recently Angry Birds Space, launched just over two years ago and is now available on basically all of your personal mobile and computer devices. Angry Birds Space, which I am yet to download for fear of losing my job or ending up in an intervention, was downloaded 50 million times in just 35 days, making it the fastest-growing mobile game in the history of mobile games!
