A.P.C. Quilts
Does A.P.C. stand for American Prairie Craft?
As far as we know, A.P.C. doesn't stand for American Prairie Craft. But, given the French label's latest venture, it could. A.P.C. have just released a line of hand-stitched patchwork quilts. A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou, in collaboration with designer Jessica Ogden, conceived the project as an ode to his Mum, who made him a log cabin quilt from leftover fabric that he was given while working at Kenzo. Similarly stitched together from leftover materials (A.P.C.'s signature tweeds, corduroy, floral-print cottons and plaid), the quilts evoke quaint country cottages and winters rugged up by an open hearth. Handcrafted by a group of women in Bangalore, India, the quilts will be sold in limited quantities - each of the seven designs will be reproduced only 30 times.
