Australian Exclusive: Alice Dellal Chanel Interview

A behind-the-scenes shot of Alice Dellal's Chanel Boy handbag campaign, set for release soon

Alice Dellal is the new face of Chanel’s Boy Chanel handbag line – appropriate considering that in this new interview the British model explains her tendency for tomboy dressing. “I like to be comfortable, and I think men dress more comfortable than ladies… They can just put a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt on,” she says. With her distinctive half-shaved head and hand tattoos, Dellal is surprisingly softly-spoken and concedes that she loved playing the girly girl for the Chanel campaign. “That’s what I like about modeling, it’s like you’re acting. I felt like a lady with the red lips and the two piece outfits,” she says. Describing Karl Lagerfeld as “so nice and so genuine,” Dellal comes across as humbled by the experience of fronting a campaign for one of the most famous fashion houses in the world.
