Minimalism may have hit the international scene in a big way over the past couple of seasons, but for Australian label Bassike, it's not so much a trend as a way of life. Since the label's inception in 2006, designers Deb Sams and Mary Lou Ryan have sought to encapsulate an effortless brand of understated modern luxury into all of their collections.

The label's Spring Summer 2011?12 outing sees the distinctive clean lines of Bassike's seperates rendered in fresh shades of coral, mustard and midnight blue. The brand has collaborated with photographer Beau Grealy to produce a video accompaniment to their lookbook, shot within the sleek, modernist surrounds of Bayview. The house proves an ideal backdrop to the easygoing wearability that has become Bassike's trademark.
