Following the hype of RAFW, Oyster sums up the best beauty looks of the week. Dewy skin and minimalism seem to be where it's at so, with pared-back beauty on the agenda and winter creeping closer, now's the time to invest in a good primer and highlighter. For now though, here's our guide to the stand-out beauty moments from last week.
The bold lip at Lover
Some were hottest pink, others scarlet, but all of them were bold-as and perfectly plumped. At Lover, Noni Smith for M.A.C paired bold lips with fresh faces. Against the minimalistic hair, face and eyes, this lip was the perfect statement of classic sex appeal.
The nude lip at Arnsdorf
The Arnsdorf girl exuded femininity, with a decidedly undressed lip for RAFW. Tony Baumann for Nars at Mecca Cosmetica was behind this deliciously understated look which, together with the fluid fabrics and loose ballerina buns, was all elegance.
The painted chignon at Dion Lee
The bun at Dion Lee was stricter and more austere. Not for the meekly mannered, this chignon was low, tight and painted matte black. Sophie Roberts for ghd used everything from hairspray to precision wax and reflection spray to sculpt this sleek look.
Brushed brows at Arnsdorf
Brushed brows at Arnsdorf harked back to beauty au naturale in the vein of Brooke Shields circa the eighties. Adding structure, this look perfectly complimented the minimalistic aesthetic created by Tony Baumann for NARS at Mecca Cosmetica. The Arnsdorf girl is comfortable in her own skin.
Ethereal eyes at Toni Maticevski
The dramatic eyes at Toni Maticevski were simultaneously gothic and fairylike. This winged look contrasted dark tones on top with light shadows underneath. Using highlighter on cheekbones, Napoleon Perdis offset the dark wings of this ethereal eye.
