carine roitfeld for barneys

Guest editor, stylist and muse.

The fashion world is never short of rumours. One such topic that has sparked much speculation is Carine Roitfeld's resignation as editor of Paris Vogue ? and the question of what she will do next. Well, news is here for those of you that have been waiting with bated breath. She will be working for luxury brand Barneys New York as a guest editor and stylist for the fall advertising campaign, lending her touch to elements such as the catalogue and window displays. She is pretty excited about it and rightfully so, stating that "to a French girl, it's a big, big dream."

As the head of Vogue Paris for ten years, the publication gained the highest levels of circulation it had ever seen. Now, moving on while ahead of her game, Roitfeld will also be a muse for Barneys as well as editor. Creative Director, Dennis Freedman believes in her stand out style and worldliness that will appeal to Barney's clientele. The campaign will be shot by Mario Sorrenti and will also include a short film that Carine will feature in.
