Carine Roitfeld Named Harper's Bazaar Global Fashion Director
It's Carine's world and we're just living in it.
Today Hearst Magazines named Carine Roitfeld the new Global Fashion Director of Harpers Bazaar. Just one month after the launch of CR Fashion Book, the former Editor of French Vogue has added yet another notch to her belt. Unusually, the role will see Carine collaborate with all 26 international editions of HB, while also working closely with Harpers Bazaar Creative Director and long-time friend Stephen Gan.
Carine will reportedly continue to work on her own publication though, which is published by Fashion Media Group — the same company behind Visionaire, of which Stephen is a co-founder. Friendships, foes or just plain fashion; the announcement raises several questions about the motives behind her move. Either way, bring on the next CR chapter!
