Chanel's 'Little Black Jacket' Exhibition Comes to Sydney
It opens this October and is free to the public.
While Chanel is the boss when it comes to exuberance (hello feathered couture dresses that take 3000 hours to make and disco ball-encrusted faces), they also nail timeless pieces like the little black jacket. Earlier this year a book was released dedicated to this very garment, featuring over one hundred of Chanel's famous friends wearing the same Chanel jacket, testament to its versatility. Karl Lagerfeld was behind the lens, while Carine Roitfeld styled the likes of Anna Wintour, Sofia Coppola, Kirsten Dunst, Kanye, Tilda Swinton, Elizabeth Olsen and many more.
An exhibition of photos from The Little Black Jacket book opened in Tokyo this March and has since been touring the world. Now the exhibition is coming to Sydney! The show will be free to the public, opening October 27 for two weeks. It will be housed at Pier 2/3, Walsh Bay.
Karl Lagerfeld and one of his many muses, Alice Dellal (who is also included in the book/exhibition), contributed to our 100th issue — on sale now.
