Chloé Resort 2013 Lookbook
Crispy whites and fresh country air.
It's been less than a year since Clare Waight Keller took over as Creative Director at Chloé, but she's already all over the French fashion house's aesthetic.
The field setting of the lookbook makes Resort seems as fresh as the breeze strategically blowing through the models' hair. The collection is inspired by street style blogs, with the palette made up of crispy whites, neutrals, and pastels through to deep gem tones, where scalloped hems and fluted sleeves lend a girly feel. Femininity is played down, though, with boxy tops, low-slung tapered pants, chunky knits, and panel detailing.
As well as Chloé classics like wool coats and leather shorts, Clare (who previously held post at Pringle) puts her own stamp on the collection with 70s scarf-inspired prints, off-the-shoulder necklines and — our favourite — a floor-sweeping high-slit skirt in powder blue. Dreamy.
