In a move that proves you can combine style and a social conscience, Country Road and the Red Cross have joined forces this month to launch a new initiative, Fashion Trade. It is estimated that close to 100 million kilos of clothes are collected through charity bins every year in Australia. Only a small percentage of this number is suitable for re-sale, and the rest is sent to landfill.
In a bid to reduce landfill, raise money for the community, and inject some excellent quality into our charity shops, Fashion Trade is encouraging everyone with style and a social conscience to donate pre-loved Country Road clothing to participating Red Cross retail stores.
