Courtney Love Apologises to Frances Bean
On Twitter, of course.
Last week, Courtney Love took to Twitter and accused 43-year-old Dave Grohl of trying to bed her 19-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Courtney described Dave as “a gross old man macking on Kurt Cobain’s only child” and Frances was – understandably – quite embarrassed. Cue "YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW ME MOM" screaming tantrum and shrill screams. Frances was actually so embarrassed, that in a public statement she suggested Twitter ban her mother (but really, what would Twitter be without Courtney Love? Boring. That's what). Dave’s PR also denied the claims, and now Courtney has swallowed her pride and broadcasted, “Bean, I'm sorry I believed the gossip. Mommy loves you” to the 547 followers on the same private account she originally went on the rampage with, @cbabymichelle. What happened to, you know, talking?
Before social media there was riot grrrl. A few days ago, Courtney rebanded with Hole after a fifteen year-hiatus for an impromptu performance in Brooklyn at the after party for the launch of Hit So Hard, a rockumentary based on Hole drummer Patty Schemel. Courtney was joined on stage by Patty, Melissa Auf der Maur and Eric Erlandson, playing Miss World and a cover of The Wipers' Over The Edge. Still got it.
