Dion Lee Pulls Out of MBFWA
The designer will not be showing his SS12/13 collection at fashion week.
We told you yesterday that we'd heard a few rumours about a couple of big name designers pulling out of this year's MBFWA schedule, and now we have official confirmation that Dion Lee will no longer present his SS12/13 collection at this year's event. We are sad facing over this news, and this is what the press release said about his decision to withdraw: "having recently executed a highly successful presentation at London Fashion Week in February and with intentions to show at London Fashion Week in September, the brand has decided to withdraw from the event in order to focus on the core activities of the business."
Dion says, “I have presented solo shows at Australian Fashion Week for the past three years and each of these have been of great benefit to my business in terms of building its profile on a local and international level. I hope to return to the Australian show schedule in the near future.”
