It’s a crazy mixed up Gen Y world we live in, when rappers get famous on the interwebz before they even release an album. A$AP Rocky is one of these guys, and hey, we’re not complaining.
Yesterday was the official dropping of the Harlem based it-bro’s first album single 'Goldie', from the up-coming LongLiveA$AP due in July, which may or may not be named after his grill. What, people don’t name their grills? They should.
The song debuted on Hot 97, and was produced by the infamous Hit Boy (the guy who did pretty good things with 'Niggas in Paris'), who also worked on the rest of the album. Rumour also has it that the LP will also feature Pharell, Santigold and that much re-blogged collab with Lana Del Rey. Looks set to be just a bit ballin’.
In other A$AP Rocky news, he’ll be headlining this year’s Summer Jam Festival Village, with guys like Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Big K.R.I.T and Pusha T. Which is great news, if you live in New Jersey.
