Equipment Spring 2012 Lookbook
The French label does classic shirting with new twists.
Equipment's Spring 2012 collection remains true to the label's eternal focus on no-fuss elegance, but stays fresh through new cuts and fabrications. Christian Restoin - Carine Roitfeld's partner of thirty years - started the French label in the mid-seventies, introducing classic men's shirting into the contemporary woman's wardrobe. The label relaunched in 2010, with Current/Elliot designer Serge Azria taking on the role of CEO and Creative Director. Azria has breathed new life into the brand, mixing Equipment's understated French femininity with the easygoing style of a barefoot, Californian girl. This season we see leopard prints, shirt dresses, and classic double-pocketed button-up shirts redone in colours like tangerine, melon and pastel pink.
