Exclusive: Lover SS12/13 'Persona' Lookbook
Lace dresses, floaty fabrics and sun-soaked florals.
Last week we showed you a sneak peek teaser video for Lover's SS12/13 collection, and now we can show you the 'Persona' collection. This season designers Susien Chong and Nic Briand were inspired by the three protagonists in Robert Altman's 70s film 3 Women, as well as the film's Palm Springs setting.
'Persona' is full of Lover classics, like lace dresses, pleated skirts, and high-collared blouses (not shirts, blouses), with floaty fabrics, crispy whites and broderie anglais. The sheer, ankle-length dress is what we imagine heaven to look like.
This season sees the introduction of new colours like coral and mushroom, as well as a sun-soaked acid wash-esque floral print. Last season's metallics are carried over to SS12/13. The bomber jacket has been cropping up in collections from many different designers, but Lover gives it a Lover touch, with delicate lace detailing.
