First Campaign Images of Lana Del Rey for H&M
Shot by Inez and Vinoodh.
The first campaign images of Lana Del Rey (who we interviewed last year) for H&M have been released. Shot by Inez and Vinoodh, the Fall images — with 'come hither' eyes, poofy hair and 60s styling — stay true to the singer's vintage-y style which has received props from the fashion industry (see: Mulberry naming a bag in her honour). Even though she was signed to Next models earlier this year, this is her first official modeling job.
"The mood is very LA noir,” Donald Schneider, H&M’s Creative Director told WWD. “It’s inspired by our fall collection.”
Lana sings a cover of Tony Bennett's 'Blue Velvet' is a short film which will accompany the campaign. The video will be released online on September 19, and Lana will also be the face of H&M's Winter campaign.
H&M is set to open in Sydney and Melbourne imminently.
