We interrupted Frank's photo shoot with Nabil.
Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (aka OFWGKTA, or Odd Future for short) describe themselves as "a herd of unicorns who don't give a fuck and are talented." They're simultaneously brilliant, hilarious and terrifying.
We interviewed Frank Ocean, the oldest member of Odd Future (at 23!), for our June/July issue. Our friend, the wonderful Nabil, took some photos, which Frank has been posting to his tumblr. But, like you, we hate waiting ? so here's an excerpt (we accidentally called while they were still shooting):
Ariane Halls: Hello. How did the shoot go?
Frank Ocean: We're still shooting! Leave us alone! Ask the questions!
Fuck. Sorry.
I'm just kidding.
Do you like Nabil?
You can't ask me that! I'm sitting right next to him. No, I hate him; he's terrible.
He recently released his mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra on his website for free (a firm middle finger to his record label), stating:
[frank] my arms are tired.
[gurl] drop your album.
Hopefully he'll be in Sydney in June, when Odd Future make their Australian debut at Vivid Live. In the meantime, follow the collective on tumblr and Twitter ? it's pretty entertaining: "By The Fucking Way; Instead Of Asking When And Shit, Why Don't You Go To The Fucking Website"; "Fuck Your New Year"; and to promote their spot on Jimmy Fallon (video below, featuring a cameo from Mos Def): "Yeah.
