Hedi Slimane & Cathy Horyn's Twitter Beef Continues
Lady Gaga also gets amongst it.
Someone needs to take the internet away from Hedi Slimane. Yesterday on Twitter he posted a public letter to New York Times journalist Cathy Horyn after her negative review of Saint Laurent's PFW show. Cathy has since spoken with WWD about the letter — which describes her as a "schoolyard bully" and critices her skills in both writing and wardrobe departments — shrugging it off as "silly nonsense."
Hedi, however, won't drop it. He has taken to Twitter once more, posting a few hours ago, "The perfect integrity of the New York Times, and its writers, is not precisely 'just silly nonsense'" and "What is 'silly nonsense' to me is Catty Horyn still singing her tired bias tune for the NYT. This is an embarrassment for the newspaper."
To add fuel to the fire, Lady Gaga has also contributed her two cents to the 'debate'. Gaga holds her own grudge against Cathy — last year she tore her apart in her V magazine column, and a few weeks ago sided with Oscar De La Renta following his spat with Cathy. Gaga re-tweeted Hedi's letter, adding, "Monsters, check out @hedislimanetwit garments for YSL this season... a true punk visionary. Modern, forward, LA VERITE."
Now we just need Tyler, The Creator or Lindsay Lohan to get #involved.
On another note, Daft Punk provided the soundtrack for Saint Laurent's show, which you can watch below and see what all the fuss is about.
