How I Ended This Summer
Win tickets to this non-Oscar nominated film.
Perhaps you've heard - the Oscars are on today! To celebrate, we've found a completely non-Oscar nominated film for your consideration, How I Ended This Summer. If you liked Black Swan but thought it could do with an extra dash of psychological thriller, or if you thought 127 Hours was good because it was a couple of hours watching a stupidly hot dude, an Artic Circle thriller starring a Russian ballet dancer could be your thing.
How I Ended This Summer is a drama set in a scientific monitoring base in the Russian Artic, complete with desolate landscapes, gruff men and polar bears. Key phrases to say as you exit the cinema include "the rugged landscape was the real star of this film" and "this is a biting allegory on the state of contemporary Russia". The film has won all sorts of awards at the Berlin, London and Chicago film festivals, and The Hollywood Reporter found it confusing, so it must be good.
We have five double passes for preview weekend (Friday 1 - Sunday 3 April) across the country. To enter, email us at giveaways@oystermag.com with the most psychological thriller-like thing that has ever happened to you.
Winners will be notified by email and asked to supply a postal address so we can send you the prize.
