Interview: Lina Scheynius
Her new limited edition book titled '04' is out 26 November.
Swedish photographer Lina Scheynius has a new book coming out on 26 November and we have an exclusive preview. Lina, who lives in London, shoots for the likes of AnOther, Dazed & Confused and, of course, Oyster, but her true passion is her personal work, which she compiles and publishes in book format once a year. This will be the fourth release in a series and the images (many of them self-portraits) looks characteristically arresting and intimate.

Here is what Lina told us about the project:
"I am currently working on a new photo book and all I think about is this book. The images that I have selected for it have been covering my bedroom floor for the past two weeks. They are the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I see when I go to sleep. I have even started dreaming about them. Last night my artist friend Rachel and I were up til 2 pm in the morning in my kitchen changing the order of the images of the book, and grinding seashells for an etching project she's currently working on. This is going to be the fourth in my series of self-published books. I made the first one in 2008. I wanted to make a pocket book version of a photo book, something affordable and light that one could bring along wherever one wanted to, and since then I've managed to make a new one each year. Making these little books is one of my favourite parts of my job."

Lina only ever prints a limited number of copies, so we suggest you pre-order yours here.
