Jean-Paul Goude Shoots Kenzo's FW12 Campaign
Grace Jones' baby daddy is back.
The clever team at Kenzo, under creative direction of Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (who we interviewed for #94), hired photographer Jean-Paul Goude to shoot their latest campaign. Models Xiao Wen and Simon Sabbah star in the much-photographed tiger sweaters for the FW12 collection, which will appear in magazines from September.
In France, Jean-Paul is to art and fashion what Serge Gainsbourg is to music — legendary. Working with collage, illustration, photography, film and performance, Jean-Paul has produced a prolific amount of work and counts Azzedeine Alaïa, Chanel, and even France itself (he art directed the French bicentennial parade in 1989) as clients. Most recently he had French actress Lea Seydoux (who we interviewed for #96) flash her pink knickers for Prada.
Jean-Paul also happens to be Grace Jones’ baby daddy, with whom he did some of his best work. Like this amazing image/album cover.
