What to write about when I just want to go to the beach?
It's a sunny Friday afternoon, and the Oyster office is leaving early to go to the beach. However, I need to quickly pump out a post before we go and what could be easier (and funnier) to write about than Kanye West?
The best thing about 'Monster' was the Nicki Minaj verse, but now I think it might be this video:
It would seem that you're not allowed to write about Kanye anymore without quoting from his Twitter feed. Like Karl Lagerfeld, Yeezy eschews the entire concept of Twitter by following no-one yet at 1:27 pm AEDST today (14/1/11) he has 2,045,775 followers hanging off his every word. January alone brought us such gems as "I BEEN FLY SO LONG I FELL ASLEEP ON THE PLANE!", "I KNOW YALL MISSED THESE LUXURY TWEETS. #LOUIETWEETS" and "Fur Coats and shit", a mysterious departure from his usual caps lock. It was only a matter of time before someone composed a tribute to his 140-character outbursts of pure genius:
