Karl Lagerfeld Interview at Chanel FW12

We talk to Karl about his show, where crystal stalagmites protruded from the runway.

Karl Lagerfeld's runway shows are always fantastical outings into the designer's imagination, perfectly executed by Chanel's larger-than-life budget. That's not to say the clothes don't speak for themselves – they do – but the Chanel show is always one of our most anticipated of the season. "What will he do next?" is the question on our mind. This season, the runway set was EPIC, with quartz crystal stalagmites protruding from the curved runway. So on-trend in this facet alone, Karl yet again proves Chanel's enduring worth by maintaining historical hallmarks of the label whilst also not being afraid of change.
