Karl.com Launches

Karl's world (wide web) domination continues.

Karl Lagerfeld's new website, Karl.com, is centred mainly around his new masstige (prestige for the masses) collection but also includes a 'World of Karl' section ? an online bible for those following the kult of Karl. World of Karl 8 some classic 'Karlisms' which have cemented his place as one of the world's most quotable men, mainly because of his apparent lack of tact. Some gems include "I know how annoying, impossible and hard to please I can be. I wouldn't recommend myself as a guest to anyone" and "If someone gives me a to-do list, I say "Thank you, this is nice." One needs things to throw in the wastebasket."

There's also access to information about Karl's life including his favourite bookshop in Paris (Galignani, 224 Rue de Rivoli), his paper and art supplier (Sennelier, 3 Quai Voltaire) and his favourite jewellery shop (Lydia Courteille, 231 Rue Saint Honore) with quotes from KL about why he likes them. On top of this, there's access to interviews and videos of Karl, and information about the making of his collections and other projects he's working on.

The site 8 collection lookbooks (with Karl logos aplenty) and an e-shop which will soon be expanded to additional categories including perfume and mens ear as well as the upscale Karl Lagerfeld Paris line, debuting for FW. The site, which went live this week, currently delivers to France, Germany, Italy and the UK with more European countries and the U.S. to be added soon.
