Keira Knightley To Play Coco Chanel In Karl Lagerfeld-Directed Film
To commemorate the opening of the first Chanel boutique.
The multi-dextrous Karl Lagerfeld will be directing a movie for Chanel in Paris this week to commemorate the opening of the first Chanel boutique 100 years ago. WWD reports that Keira Knightley — the face of Coco Mademoiselle perfume — will play the lead as Coco Chanel herself. A few average looking people — Stella Tennant, actress Tallulah Harlech (spawn of the inimitable Amanda Harlech), and model and music producer Caroline De Maigret — will be in supporting roles. We're most excited about the inclusion of Karl's godson Hudson Kroenig, though, whose basically been breaking hearts since birth.
The film will premiere in early May when Karl is in Singapore presenting Chanel Cruise.
