Kenzo x New Era FW12 Lookbook

Caps just got classical.

Under their Creative Direction, Opening Ceremony founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim (who we interviewed for issue #94) have taken Kenzo into a new era of street style. The best friends/co-designers have an epic list of past collaborations, including Rodarte, Chloë Sevigny, Adidas Originals and even the Muppets. This April they teamed up with Vans on a custom-printed sneaker line, and to our delight they have just released the new lookbook for their ongoing collaboration with New Era. The candy stripes have an old school, 1920s baseball feel, but the bright colours, fierce contrasts and abstract Japanese blossoms (inspired by the women's Pre-Fall collection) are so Kenzo. Photographer Maciek Pozoga puts a stately spin on the Kenzo x New Era capsule by having models pose with antique busts and old-time paintings.
