kenzo's comeback
Another hit from Opening Ceremony.
Today, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon of Opening Ceremony launched their first Kenzo collection to great success. When their role as Creative Director's was announced some months ago it seemed like a perfect fit, and today their Paris Fashion Week show confirmed this belief. Strong colours, key separates, structured shapes, and fabulous prints have always been a part of Kenzo's history and Lim and Leon were able to take this to the next level. Yesterday when I met Solange Knowles, who is a big fan of the brand and had seen a sneak preview of the debut collection, she proclaimed that she has never loved a collection more. Whilst the press have had a more measured response, the outlook is very positive, and with the star power Opening Ceremony has (a newly-brunette Chloe Sevigny closed the show) this new collaboration is going to be a no brainer.
