Who do you love/hate/love-to-hate more? In an interview with GQ, Kreayshawn talks a lot about shit (like, literal shit) and shares her thoughts on Lana Del Rey's music. Specifically, that it's "fucking depressing" and makes her want to slit her ankles.
In our interview for Oyster #95, Kreayshawn told us about the difference between having a hit on the radio and having one on the internet, in that music for commercial radio is more formulaic and, fundamentally, cannot sound as original or unexpected as music for the internet. Lana herself should be well aware of the power of the internet for musicians ? the success of 'Video Games' is due largely to its explosive popularity on YouTube and her own meme-friendly persona/face. Likewise, Kreayshawn's 'Gucci Gucci' video reached 2 million views on YouTube before she even signed with Columbia Records.
These two should just get together already. Lana del Kreay!
