We’re obsessed with ‘Second Skin’ a prototype watch by Russian-born, New York based designer, Svetlana Blum. The futuristic design works as both a captivating time-piece and stylistic bangle. Made out of PU and metal, the LED lights switch on through a touch of the surface display in order to reveal the time. The time’s displayed in a simple format, showing the the hours on one side and five-minute intervals of the hour, on the other. The designer has recently exhibited other works which involve the conceptualisation of light, including a recent instillation piece at the Light Art Biennial in Austria this year.
