Melbourne-label Limedrop’s carousel-print dress took out first prize at the annual Chambord Shine Awards this year. The third instalment of the Chambord Shine Awards — held at Sydney’s Strand Arcade — showcased ten brands, challenging them to create designs for the upcoming Spring racing season.
Beating out a host of up-and-coming brands including Subfusco, George Wu and Jolet, Limedrop’s first place prize entitles them to a double-page spread in Marie Claire. Judged as winners by fashion identities including actress Gracie Otto, Limedrop will also have opportunities to showcase their designs at the L’Oreal 2011 Melbourne Fashion Festival and Strand Arcade’s ‘An Evening With The Designers’.
Gracie Otto will also model the winning dress at the spring racing carnival.
