Listen: Sleigh Bells Cover Beyonce

An angelic rendition of 'Irreplaceable'.

Hands up if you don't like Beyonce? (No one in whole world raises hand, expect maybe, like, Kelly Rowland or something). Sleigh Bells are the latest band to show their adoration of the pop star powerhouse by covering one of her songs. The Brooklyn-based band's acoustic rendition of 'Irreplaceable' was aired on their BBC Maida Vale session, as part of the program's 'wild card' segment where the featured musicians play two of their own songs, and a cover. We already knew that Sleigh Bells had synth-pop down to a tee (see: 'Comeback Kid') but now we also learn that vocalist Alexis Krauss can definitely do delicate. Her voice is quite angelic in this cover, the original song which appears on Beyonce's 2006 album B'Day.

Early last year, Beyonce and Sleigh Bells were actually in the studio together although their collaboration never surfaced. We can only hope that Beyonce hears this cover, is so blown away and requests to work with them again. Listen to the cover and original below:
