Maurie & Eve’s Winter 2012 Lookbook

Isn’t it the dream to be one of those nonchalant cool girls whose style would be described by fashion bloggers as ‘effortlessly glamorous’? With the arrival of Maurie & Eve’s Winter 2012 collection, ‘Feels Like The First Time’, this sartorial ideal may be slightly more attainable than we once thought. The lookbook stars Rachel Rutt and Australia’s Next Top Model winner Montana Cox, who both act as postergirls for laid-back elegance.

So as not to complicate things, the collection comprises a number of key styles which are run in a variety of prints and colours including a monochromatic floral, and a swirling, psychedelic 60’s-inspired ikat which are sure to be two favourites. With this collection, Maurie & Eve concede that an Australian winter is actually a bit of a weakling season, so they’ve replaced stock standard trench coats with sweet little dresses including one style in particular which will pose a serious challenge to anti-one-shouldered-enthusiasts. Even the knitwear has been distinctly crafted for our warmish colder months – the Sarah jumper has a sheer silk back; roll neck cable knit dresses skim the knee, the Chloe sweater seen below comes with light sleeves.
