Maya Villiger Interview & Glassons Street Style Campaign
We ask the photographer/Turned Out blogger about her collages, favourite blogs and casting process.
Oyster contributor Maya Villiger — you may remember her cut and paste collage, accessory shoot, 'Strawberries and Cream' editorial or 'Bag Lady' story— has shot the latest campaign for Glassons. The high street NZ label enlisted the NY-based photographer/Turned Out blogger to do what she does best — shoot interesting people doing their thing on the city streets. See the campaign above and read our interview with Maya below.

I started making them for my blog in 2008 or so. I definitely buy books and magazines when there is something in there that inspires a collage so I have quite a few now. But I am a bit sick of my collaging at the moment, I need to move it forward somehow.
We wanted to cast vibrant young women with a real sense of their own personal style. The pictures were to be as much about them as the clothes. They were all gorgeous, fun girls with interesting stories; I really enjoyed photographing them.
Being a mum, a family summer holiday in Italy (hopefully) and taking street photos.
