meghan gets mystical
Oyster cover girl Meghan Collison gets mystical in a short film about fashion and fortune telling.
Elle Muliarchyk, model, photographer and cynic, has had her palms perused by many a psychic. She's adamant that the clothes she wore to these appointments affected the prognostications she received. When she showed up dressed like a hippy, she was told to clean up her act. A few days later, dolled up like an Upper East Side lady, she was told that a Harvard degree was on the horizon.
Moral of the story? People, or at least, psychics, DO judge a book by its cover. Interested in the ways in which our exterior can influence our fortunes, Muliarchyk enlisted the help of Meghan Collison in making a short film called Somnambuli. In it, Collison undergoes a series wardrobe changes (with styling courtesy of Polina Aronova) and visits a slew of downtown NY clairvoyants.
If our mystical powers are anything to go by, Collison will make an appearance, looking brooding in a beat-up leather jacket, on the cover of Oyster's 90th issue. Don't believe us? See it for yourself; it's on stands at the moment.
