Being the straight females that some of us are, we love a show with a male model or two, but sadly, they aren't as plentiful as we might hope. Cue Zambesi, whose menswear possessed a sophisticated aesthetic that had a city-slicker meets gothabilly vibe with plenty of sheer shirting, lacework and sharp tailoring. It also allowed for one of our favourite tattooed bodies to walk the runway, mister Patrick Delaney. Back in old Sydney town since February, Patrick has been on the international circuit for a few years now, most recently in Paris during the January shows. Along with his lovely model wife Tiah and their genetically blessed bubba, he's now back for good and he's "loving it." When asked what other shows he was doing, Patrick turned lovingly to Tiah for guidance, who informed us that we'll all be lucky enough to see his face again at both Fernando Frisoni and St Augustine Academy, even though he "didn't go to any castings".
Well, isn't that nice. Getting work without even chasing it. We're not jealous at all. (mumble curse mumble curse)
