Net-A-Porter & Mr Porter x Art Basel x Visionaire x Jonathan Horowitz

One swap meet to rule them all.

With the world set to end very soon there's never been a better time to abandon traditional modes of sales and acquisition and start heading off to swap meets. At the top of our list? Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter have joined forces with Visionaire on Free Store — an interactive installation held at Art Basel initiated by multimedia artist Jonathan Horowitz.

Guests will be given a canvas tote bag silkscreened with the words, "bring stuff in you can't use, take stuff away that you can". And it's as simple as that. There'll be other awesome stuff on the day with some of the items being personal belongings of Michael Stipe of R.E.M. and Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci.

"It doesn't have to be an exchange. You can just bring stuff in or just take stuff away," says the installation's creator Jonathan, "I don't want there to be any rules. Hopefully some kind of golden rule will just naturally occur and people won't drop off socks with holes in them and take things away to sell on their own."

So head on down to the SLS Hotel in South Beach Miami, 6 December, with your old but ever relevant 'Best of Tom Hanks' five-disc DVD collection and you might just walk away with some antique figurines or a computer (yes a real working computer — someone at the London and New York exhibitions did!).
