Oyster #94: Kirsty Hume

Icon of nineties minimalism, Kirsty Hume, has paved a prolific modelling career combined with a tranquil family life in Woodstock, New York (its sister city is Nimbin, Australia). Having donned Dior, Valentino, Calvin Klein and, most recently, Trenery, she also paints (and made a cameo as a judge on America's Next Top Model). We sent Tierney Gearon ? an artist renowned for her thoughtful, technicolour portrayal of children and domesticity ? to the hills of Los Angeles to capture our August September cover. Hume is pictured with her seven-year-old daughter, Violet.
