Oyster Exclusive: Ellery Resort '11 Collection

Local label Ellery jet sets to Paris to shoot their latest campaign for Resort '11. The collection - 'The Second Marriage' - takes its title from a painting by David Hockney done in 1963 and is informed by this artwork in its texture and colour. Shot by Darren McDonald, the campaign stars Dutch supermodel Kim Noorda (who has walked for Chanel, Burberry, Prada and Dolce & Gabbana). As designer Kym Ellery's first evening-focused collection, this is a strong offering with lashings of femininity coming through in the form of floor-length silhouettes, drapery and a smattering of diamantes. A tailored tuxedo adds a bit of a masculine vibe and makes for an appealing alternative to a dress. While there's a new attention to corsetry, the hallmarks of the Ellery label remain like architectural shapes, stiff and structured blouses, and wide-legged trousers.
