Oyster Fashion: Byron Spencer x Elissa McGowan
We shoot the designer's debut collection before it shows at MBFWA.
The Fashion Design Studio (formally known as East Sydney Tech) has spawned some of Australia's brightest fashion stars including Dion Lee, Emma Mulholland, Karla Spetic and Romance Was Born. At just 23-years-old, Elissa McGowan is the youngest of the six chosen to partake in this year's Innovators show at MBFWA, but we think she just might be the next big thing. Her graduate collection caught our eye at the TAFE end of year show, so we decided to enlist Byron Spencer to shoot a story using her debut collection on the streets of Sydney, starring Russian babe Dasha.
