Pretty Much Everything
Die-hard fashionistas should not miss the Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin retrospective at Foam Gallery in Amsterdam. Running until the 15th of September, the exhibition - entitled Pretty Much Everything - covers 25 years of photographs, from personal portraits to major advertising campaigns, as well as unforgettable editorial shoots. The most amazing thing about the ultra-talented Dutch duo is that their early work seems as relevant now as it was two decades ago. They have a knack for creating images that are both sophisticated and slightly disturbing, imagining scenarios that take fashion out of its natural context. I was also amazed by their portraits, which echo some of the traditions of Dutch painting and a fondness for realism.
